Sailing Through Space

Ever since ancient Mesopotamia, mankind has been cruising the seas using one of mother nature's richest source of energy on earth: wind. It's been a few years since these pioneers of energy free loading came up with the revolutionary idea of sailing, but we still use it, and now in ways the Mesopotamian never even imagine.

The Planetary Society's light sail has deployed! Sorry, I couldn't built on this any longer. I am too excited to think about anything else. DEPLOYMENT!!
Great job, guys!

Come on, follow the great news here, and if you want to learn more about light sail, get to it!

A Bit Of A Deep Thought

To give spiritual meaning to our lives, we often turn to a deity. There is something deep about it that makes us feel helplessly small and somehow gives us comfort. Personally, I can't think of anything bigger, deeper and for lack of another word, more hypnotic than the universe itself.

If we disregard deities, the very existence of the human being takes a deeper spiritual meaning, as the part of the universe that has evolved to be able to try to understand itself.
